Curiosity and hard work led me to an unconventional path in the Navy, serving on ships before trying my luck at special operations—a progression that taught me how institutions work, how power moves, and how to operate when stakes are real.
From Service to Strategy
I spent a decade as a U.S. Navy SEAL — leading teams, making hard calls, and learning what counts when pressure is real. That experience didn’t make me conform — it taught me to question, to lead, and to think at first principles.

Today I’m a general partner at Contrarian Thinking Capital, an early-stage VC + Main Street investment holdco. I back founders and businesses most people overlook, serve as an advisor on AI and security to firms and the U.S. Department of Defense, and use hard-earned discipline to find where leverage actually lives.
